Dr.Girish C.M
Girish CM joined Cancer Nanomedicine group at Amrita in 2009. He finished his PhD in 2015 and is a recipient of prestigious Inspire Faculty Award-2015 from Department of Science & Technology(DST), Govt of india. Research expertise in developing Raman Spectroscopy as cancer detection tool by working with head & Neck cancer patient samples, synthesising various nanomaterial systems, exploring surface enhanced Raman sepctroscopy in biological detection, and expertise in advanced nano-imaging tools like atomic force microscope. Main research focus is in the translation of portable Raman systems for cancer detection. Also interested in developing disease diagnosis systems using spectroscopy tools like mass spectroscopy & optical spectroscopy, and developing nanomaterial systems for disease diagnosis.
Girish did his bachelor's (B.Tech) in Biomedical Engineering from Bharath University, Chennai. He did his master's (MTech) in Nanomedical Sciences from Amrita University.
